Titanic Belfast
The story of RMS Titanic, told beside the slipways where she was built.
Titanic Belfast is a visitor attraction that opened on 31 March 2012 on the former Harland & Wolff shipyard, next to the slipways where RMS Titanic and her sister ship Olympic were built. Its interactive galleries trace the story from the boom years of industrial Belfast through the ship's design, construction and launch to its maiden voyage, sinking and the discovery of the wreck.
The building's angular, faceted wings, evoking ships' hulls, contain more than 12,000 square metres of floor space shared between galleries, function suites and community facilities. It is the centrepiece of the regenerated Titanic Quarter, and tickets can also include a visit to the nearby SS Nomadic.
