Contemporary art centre on the Jaddaf Waterfront, with free exhibitions, a sculpture park, an artists’ garden and an open research library.
Jameel Arts Centre is a contemporary art institution on the Jaddaf Waterfront in Dubai, run by Art Jameel. It opened in November 2018 in a building by Serie Architects: a set of white gallery boxes arranged around courtyard gardens, with a sculpture park along the creek.
Admission is free. The centre shows exhibitions drawn from the Art Jameel Collection and from commissions by artists working in the Gulf, the wider Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, alongside the Jameel Library, a project space, an artist’s garden, writers’ and researchers’ programmes, children’s workshops and the Night School seminar series.
